Can I pick my son's roommates for the camp?
You may pick roommates and we will do our best to accommodate. Fairfield dorms are two to a room. There are no guarantees, but we try our best to accommodate all applicants. Requests can be made on the application or in a special attachment with the application.
Can I purchase equipment at camp?
Yes. However, the equipment sold at the camp store is limited and varies.
Can my son receive transportation to and from camp to the airport or train station?
Yes. You can arrange for transportation on the application. All details on arrivals and departures must be communicated directly with a staff member.
Can we bring fans?
Yes and we would recommend it.
Can we bring food and drinks?
Yes, but these items are also sold at the camp store. The camp store will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Water will be available to campers at all times during practice sessions and other on-field activities.
How do I know if my application was received?
You will receive confirmation from our office either through the mail or by e-mail. Confirmation will include directions to registration and any other important information that pertains to registration on the day that camp starts.
How do I register on line?
Follow the link provided on our site for the camp that you wish to register for. Our on-line registration is outsourced to a third party that accepts credit cards or payment by checks. If you choose to pay by check, you must mail the check to our office with a copy of your registration receipt and signed waiver release form. Payments at registration must be cash or money order. No checks will be accepted two weeks prior to registration and on the day of registration.
How is the food?
The Fairfield University campus food service will provide a menu of sandwiches, hot entrees, beverages and desserts. Camp meals will be served in one of the campus dining halls.
How will the campers be grouped?
Campers will be grouped according to their skill, size, age, position and experience.
What does my son need to bring to camp?
Overnight campers should bring their own pillow, blanket, twin sheets and towels. All campers must provide their own equipment, including grass cleats and sneakers, socks, athletic supporter, mouthpiece, t-shirts and shorts.
What if I cannot download an application on my computer?
Contact our office (203-254-4000 x2073 or registration@soundlacrossecamps.com) and we will e-mail, fax, or mail you an application.
What if my son loses his dorm key?
There is a $50.00 charge for a lost dorm key.
Where will the overnight campers stay
All overnight campers will stay in dormitories on the Fairfield University campus. There are bathrooms and showers on each floor. Sound Lacrosse Camp coaches and counselors will supervise the campers at all times.
